Shark Week

It's Shark Week and Allison and I are having fun pretending we're sharks chasing each other (jaws theme and all, "doot, doot....doot,doot").

We gathered up her puppies and threw them on the stairs along with the "real" ones. Hopefully one day she'll look back and say, "Oh yea, I remember Suki and Ninja. They would always bark and get in my way but I looooved them so..."

We made home-made play dough the other day and had fun making tons of shapes. I also found out that the Williams Sonoma pizza peel is useful for more than just pizza-ing.

At the Beach

We finally went back to Galveston this year. We were supposed to go during mothers day (our tradition for the last couple of years) but Kate was too little then. So over the weekend we enjoyed some sun, sand and waves.

Mommy and Allison

Allison loves the camera! She likes to look at the photos more than taking the actual picture. I've been trying to show her we need to take the picture first, THEN you can see yourself! Patience. 

Also, having DirectTV hooked up to the internet, we can view our you tube videos on the big screen tv so we end up showing Allison videos of when she was a baby up until now. I think she is amused by herself.

I've been painting Allison's toenails and also started to paint her fingers nails as well (non toxic). I thought perhaps she would stop biting her nails if she saw them looking all nice and pretty. Nope, oh well. At least it's fun while it lasts! In other news, my almost 2 1/2 year old is now a size 9 shoe!  what!?

Suki and Allison

Allison has really taken to the dogs lately. Sometimes we have to keep her away from them when all they want to do is sit and lounge. She shows a different temperament with each dog. With Ninja, she feels she can boss him around (he can take it) but with Suki she acts so lovingly and sweet as if she knows how delicate and dainty the old girl is. She also helps us feed the dogs every night and shows us where they have gone to the bathroom outside so I can scoop it up. Here's to responsibility!

Happy 4th of July

We spent our 4th of July this year with Grandma and Papa John at the KCC pool eating yummy food and relaxing in the lazy river pool.
