Lil Sis Debut

Lil Sis made her tv debut today at the 20 week ultrasound. I would have loved to have Allison there for her to actually see her lil sis in action but schedules and driving distance didn't allow for it. She will get to see her sis' latest photo shoot like the one below. We'll stick it on the frig so she can ask to see her when she feels like it.
It's true what they say every pregnancy and baby is different. She was very cooperative for all anatomical measurements today.  She seems to be a tad smaller than Allison though I'm not certain. I feel smaller myself. Also, I feel as if the slight kicks are softer than what they were at this time with Allison. I'm probably just preggo-crazy but that's just how I feel. Jake thinks I just forgot.  Whatever.    : o )

Busy Girl

Allison has been a busy girl these days. Here are some things she loves to do now.
• Taking showers on Saturday morning after eating breakfast (maple syrup in the hair usually warrants a hot shower in mommy and daddy’s bathroom)

• Talking – She will talk to her animals, the real ones (suki and ninja) and the stuffed ones – telling them to “sit down” or “walk away” whilst pointing. She loves to point and say “eeeewwwwwww” when she sees something that looks yucky! No means “No” and Yes means “No”. Trying to say “peez” and “ten Q” more and more.

• Role playing – she will take her plastic people and stuffed animals (Tickle me Elmo is a fave right now) and sit them all in a circle like if hosting a tea party. It’s the funniest thing!

• Being outside - (nothing new) she likes to be chased around the backyard.

• Kissing – Allison has been kissing like crazy. She kisses us, she pretends her little people are kissing each other, her bath toys kiss each other, and will kiss on command. She even had her first kiss with Georgie over the weekend when we visited the Hadjiouannou’s!
Here she is going in for that sweet smack: First Kiss

• School – loving school right now. We tried to pick her up the other day but she was way too busy to come to mommy and daddy and continued to play and put up a fight to walk to the car.

• Changing Table – don’t use it much anymore. Thanks to school, we are stand up diapering more and more now and showing her where the poopoo REALLY goes prompting some “eeeewwwww”s.

• Cleaning – cleans up after herself after spilling. Will grab a towel and clean up wet spots on the floor.

• Drinking – saying “ahhh” after sipping a cold cup of water.

• Eating – isn’t a big eater just yet. Loves certain things and isn’t eating meat unless its bbq. Spits out chicken and burger meat, but does take some bites of pork and brisket.

• In bed at night – We’ll put her to bed around 7:15/30 but she’ll just lay there and talk up a storm to Ms Judy her doll. I can only imagine what she is saying to her. I heard her saying “Don’t cryyy!?” (in the form of a question) repeatedly one night.

• Being busy, staying busy, running around and tripping every now and then. War wounds to prove it.

Allison is going to be a BIG SISTER!

We've known Allison was going to be a big sister for quite some time now but we just recently found out that she will have a little baby sister. We are all so excited to add to our growing family another precious little healthy girl who will get to be Allison's sister and friend for life. I will try and get the picture of the ultrasound on here eventually. I have been a very tired, going to bed at 8:30 type of momma and the weekend is no different. I have been bad about taking pictures and even going online other than to check emails and news. I will try to muster up some more energy now that I am almost 14 weeks. I think the energy isn't as giving as it was when pregnant with Allison. Having to work full time, rush to get Allison from school, cook, tend to her needs and even eating takes its toll on us. Here is a picture of Allison at a recent trip to another pumpkin patch.
Another thing my sweet baby has been dealing with over the last month has been the onset of a chalazion on her right upper lid. We have been religiously doing our hot compresses and antibiotic ointment to try and get it to drain but it's such a slow process which the Doctor says could takes months to completely go away. And even if it does she is now more prone to getting it again. You can see it here a little bit:

Here she is at the newly opened Cracker Barrell!! yummm. She had to try almost every rocking chair there.
And the curly top comments are nonstop! It's really funny when people ask where she gets it from and see Jake and I together. Explaining that I had curly hair as a baby and it just waved out later in life, etc etc... We'll see if hers stays or does the same. Other than that we also get: " I used to pay really good money back in the day for that kind of hair!" haha

Fun at a Fall Festival

The weather has been gorgeous so we went to enjoy a nice Saturday morning at a Fall Festival in Huffman. There were Bubbles, Balloons, Pumpkins and a real life cow! didn't get the cow picture though... : /

Allison was able to take a pumpkin (she would choose the heaviest one) to the table and decorate it but each time she took one and plopped it on the table she would go back for another. Who wants to decorate when you can just rearrange the entire patch?!

You've come a long way, baby!

Snuggling up like old times.

Stack em up!

While Mommy puts away the groceries, Allison stacks em up. Great help she is!
