This is what it's all about.

Today I was fortunate enough to attend circle time at school with Allison. The class did their birthday ritual, the celebration of life. For every year of life, Allison would walk in a circle and her teacher would show a picture to the class of Allison at that age. I provided the snack for the class and we all went outside to eat. It's such a warm feeling being an outsider looking in to see how your child behaves in an environment other than the one you're in with her daily.

It was soon time for me to go and Allison wanted to get me a flower. Her teacher went on to tell me there isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't pick a flower for her mommy. She keeps it in her cubby all day until I come and get her. My heart skipped and I thought I was going to melt right there. She ran to a flower pot and got me a yellow flower she wasn't supposed to pick and gave it to me.... Oh my sweet sweet girl you are spoiling me - don't ever stop picking flowers. :)

Happy 3rd Birthday Allison!!!

Happy Birthday to our sweet Allison! Mommy and Daddy and Kate love you so much. We know you won't remember this party later in life but here are some pictures to show you how much fun you had with all your friends. One day you will look back and smile your smile and laugh your laugh and sweetly whisper to us: 'thank you, I love you too'!

HiHoHiHo to primary school I go!

Allison started primary (ages 3-6) school today! She is now the youngest again whereas in the toddler class she was the oldest. It is so sweet to see her growing and learning so fast. It's a little sad to leave behind such wonderful teachers and close friends but new teachers and new friends await. She will still see the kids and teachers in the playground and walking around school. She is so excited to be in this class where she will learn to spell and write her own name! Wow! Can't believe it sometimes. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of her!

Happy 10 Months Kate

Kate is now in the double digits! She is crawling faster, climbing the stairs and getting into more trouble. She's my silly little goose!

She never ceases to amaze me. It was a rough night cooking dinner tonight with Kate screaming at my feet but as I'm washing Allison's hands right before sitting down to eat she stops and says in her most sincere 3 year old voice, "thank you for dinner Mommy". She made it so much better after that! Love her!

Almost 3

We broke out the tunnel and tent the other day for Kate to experience but Allison wanted to relive it as well.  While taking pictures of her I couldn't believe that she is about to be 3 years old. Her face and body look like an older kids. This is so hard to fathom when you have a 10 month old who is growing so quickly as well. I'm so glad we can pause these moments and snap away a few shots along the way because this Momma is blinking too much!

Dinner Time Fun

I don't know how she does it. It must be a sister thing but Allison can sure keep Kate happy in so many ways. This makes my life easier at times. I can't say it enough how much these two light up my life.
