Not so fun times - part 2
It turns out Allison's breathing was getting worse on Thursday and the doctor felt it best she go down to Texas Children's Hospital to be seen by the Specialists. After arriving at 4:30 pm that afternoon, we were placed in the emergency center waiting and hooked up to monitor oxygen levels. The nurses came in and suctioned her nose out. This may have been the worst part of the night seeing my baby scream in fear. This is also when we learned how strong she has become. After suctioning, we headed off to radiology for a chest x-ray. No pneumonia thank goodness.
We went back into our little room and by this time it was 930. Allison fell alseep but her levels would end up dropping down to 84 and the doctor felt it best she stay overnight for oxygen requirements. After being admitted and getting settled she didn't go down to sleep til about midnight. It was a rough night with nurses checking vitals and levels every so often but the next morning she had greatly improved and was free to be discharged! She still has a residual cough but it's good to know she is getting better!
We went back into our little room and by this time it was 930. June - Not so fun times...
It has been a rough month for Allison. It all started the last week of May where she was eaten alive by mosquitoes, fleas and had what may have been flea bites all over her face and legs which took a while to go away.
On June 1st she came down with a low grade fever due to an ear infection. We took her to the doctor and we were prescribed amoxicillin. She had been taken it for a week when we noticed a horrible rash starting to appear on her belly, legs, arms and soon face. Back to the doctor again on June 10th and we were told she is allergic to this class of antibiotics. We stopped the meds for the ear infection. Luckily her ear infection was gone but with a compromised immune system.
Over the course of this past weekend (Saturday) a cough started to develop along with a fever that topped at 103º. We were able to keep it down in the 99º range but yesterday her breathing patterns started to change and Daddy noticed she was having difficulties so she was taken back to the doctor on Tuesday. Her oxygen levels were lower than normal so they gave her a breathing treatment which didn’t seem to help much so a chest x-ray was ordered. Thank goodness it didn’t show anything! But we must continue with the nebulizer and keep her well hydrated as she goes through this. My poor sweet girl has had enough!! Hopefully by this weekend we can wash all our sickies away, start fresh and stay healthy. My Goodness!

Good Morning Sweet girl!
Today was a hot and humid Sunday.
We walked, we played, we skyped with kuz Mya and Ben, we went to the grocery store, swam and ate a nice family dinner together. Hooray for weekends!
