California, here we come!

We took a flight to California to celebrate Christmas with Uncle Steve, Aunt Erica, Ben and Mya. Allison did great on the plane as she watched a couple of movies and played with her busy bag. Kate was also pretty excited about the flight. She got a bit fussy on the way there but only because it was her naptime and couldn't figure out how to settle down and just lay down. But eventually she fell asleep on Momma for a good hour so all was well. Thank God!

This was Part 1 of our Christmas celebration since we weren't going to be home on Christmas day so we told Tiki, our elf to tell Santa we wouldn't be here and he did so Santa delivered early just for us!

The Nutcracker

For the last 6 weeks ever since the "Houston Ballet- Nutcracker" commercials have been coming on TV Allison has been saying how she wants to go there. So, lucky for us we got to see the local theater version of the ballet. We had loads of fun. It was my first time as well so I didn't know what to expect just recognized the music. What a magical experience! Can't wait to do it again next year or perhaps wait 2 years so we can take Kate with us!

 ANXIOUSLY waiting.  It was a loooong wait for the lights to dim and the Christmas music to stop playing.
