New Beds

:(  Cue the bittersweet moment here:

On a whim, we decided to get the girls transitioned into new beds. The crib is gone. The head and foot board are actually on Allison's new full size bed. Kate now has Allison's old twin bed minus the box spring so she can be lower to the floor. They both did well. Kate is more of a carefree spirit so she did take a few adventures off the bed the first night and still does at nap and bedtimes but we go back in there and place her back in bed to remind her what time it is and she listens for the most part. She is a busy girl so this new found freedom is something she isn't giving up as easily as Allison did. Then again, Allison loved her sleep. Kate is our night owl.

California, here we come!

We took a flight to California to celebrate Christmas with Uncle Steve, Aunt Erica, Ben and Mya. Allison did great on the plane as she watched a couple of movies and played with her busy bag. Kate was also pretty excited about the flight. She got a bit fussy on the way there but only because it was her naptime and couldn't figure out how to settle down and just lay down. But eventually she fell asleep on Momma for a good hour so all was well. Thank God!

Merry Christmas!!! Part 1

This was Part 1 of our Christmas celebration since we weren't going to be home on Christmas day so we told Tiki, our elf to tell Santa we wouldn't be here and he did so Santa delivered early just for us!
