Hey Santa!

We made it to see Santa and Allison wanted no part of it again. Luckily for us she didn't put up a fight nor cry. She just wanted the candy cane he offered her and walked right off to go do something else. Santa then had a smart idea and asked Kate if she would like to sit on his lap. Kate so willingly will do anything you ask her to so there she went and gazed, admired, and gawked at the big ole guy. I was waiting for the pulling of the whiskers since she is a professional hair puller these days. But she spared Santa the pain and agony I deal with on a daily basis. Immediately, once seeing her little sister having all this fun with Santa, someone flew right over onto his lap to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Monkey see monkey do right?
Oh what fun!

Maybe next year, we'll ALL smile!

"Next year, I'll get those whiskers", says Kate

A little bit of KaTe is all it TaKes!

KateyKate is growing like crazy and lately is making me laugh a lot! She has the funniest facial expressions. I swear she can make a dozen faces! And contrary to what some may think, she does cry "at times". Crap, I may be jinxing myself just by saying that right now.
Anyway, she loves to play peekaboo in her crib right before naptime. She'll peek up in her crib and pull down the meshy bumper to make sure I haven't left the room yet and when she sees me right there in her face she laughs so hard as if she wasn't expecting me to be there. Such a funny thing this lil thang!

Happy 7 Months Kate!

I swear, just yesterday I was typing up the 6 month blog post. This last month flew by faster than ever! My little baby girl is now 7 months old and still every month she amazes me with her sweetness and gentle nature. We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Friday Family Movie Night

Last night we started a new family tradition. Friday nights are now movie nights. In the wake of Allison's broken bone we've discovered that she can sit down and watch a movie that is longer than 60 minutes so we tried it last night. Poor Kate can't join us just yet but we put her down to bed instead for now. Allison gets her nightly bath and into her pajamas then back downstairs she goes. Popcorn popped, dvd in, throws and pillows to make us comfy and ready for our feature presentation.

Last nights movie was Tangled. We all enjoyed it. I haven't seen too many Disney films in my life except the old ones like Bambi and Dumbo but this one was very sweet. We'll probably see it another 30 times.

First Broken Bone... and it better be the last!

My poor Allison fell down at school on Thursday around lunchtime. The kids were all getting ready to sit and eat lunch when Allison leaned to the side to adjust her pant leg, lost her balance and fell down right on her side. The teachers said she fell on her cheek but she might have been stretching her arm out at the same time. I went to go pick her up as soon as they called me. She didn't eat her lunch nor want to take a nap.

When I got her I knew something was wrong. It wasn't the normal whiny cry. She insisted her shoulder hurt and it hurt her tremendously when I was trying to put her in the car seat. I called her Doctor and finally got through to the nurse who doesn't get back from lunch until 2. They were able to squeeze us in. We went and got an x-ray of her shoulder/collarbone. She was a very good girl and the x-ray came out really well. She even got to pick a fun sticker. The doctor declared it was a green stick fracture on the right clavicle. boo. :( Allison needs to be in a sling for 3 weeks until she returns to the doctor for another x-ray to see how the healing process is going. Here are some pictures of our little trooper.

The first day was MISERABLE! Thanks to grandma who let us borrow some movies!!
 Got a smile! Yay!
Third Day - no Tylenol needed. On the road to recovery!
